Hi Rob. Just took a look at one of the Purzel Video GMBH (Troll Lesko) cases in NDIL (1:13-cv-02501). Complaint is here - http://dietrolldie.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/complaint_02501il.pdf Two of the 84 Does had a different SHA-1 hash file, yet he claims they all took part in the same swarm - Wrong. Too cheap to file a separate case I assume.

I sent you an email. Of course I got one of these letters. Went to the site to see the settlement......they want 200 for one title. I sent Ira an email stating I had no knowledge, etc. (exact wording was sent to your email address). They contacted me back asking for my number. I have not given out any personal info at this point and told them I was advised not to give out my number. There is a chance they may have my name...but I am not sure. Advice? Thank you in advance.

I just got one of these "letters" from Comcast myself, have been thinking about paying it then thinking about not paying it. I did log on to see what it was that was downloaded. What are the odds that with the six strikes that the ISP's have that I should be looking over my shoulder everytime I step outside?

I rcvd 3 emails in quick succession for a total of $600. I have read many of the posts here and need some guidance on how to proceed. I did enter their website. I will pay it if I can be certain it will 'go away', but, like many others here, I worry that this will not be the end of it.

Hi,
I also am in the same situation and have received one of these scare letters forwarded by my ISP from CEG-TEK, signed by Ira Siegel, asking that I pay a $200 pre-settlement fee. I also made the mistake of entering my case ID and pw. I also not well aware of the situation called them and only gave my name and phone number with the case number but did not give any further information. I would like to set up a consultation. Thank you for your help.

C, you are confusing these DMCA letters and actual copyright infringement lawsuits. The letter you received from CEG-TEK is a pre-lawsuit settlement attempt. No lawsuit has been filed, and thus, no judge has authorized a subpoena to be issued to your ISP. CEG-TEK sent a letter to your ISP saying "One of your subscribers having IP address at this date and time downloaded my client's copyrighted titles. Please forward this letter to them." This is how you got your letter. They usually give you roughly a month before they take the settlement down from their copyrightsettlements.com website.

On a personal note, please do NOT run and log into their site. Call a lawyer (myself or anyone else) and speak about what they have accused you of doing. You can get in a lot more trouble (as in, them asking for more $$$$) than $200 if you play this incorrectly.

We just received a letter from our ISP stating that an unspecified title was torrented from our IP address. There was no mention of a subpoena. There has been no other contact and this letter was dated one week ago. We did not respond to the letter. How long, generally, does it take for further action? Will they subpoena for our information for one title? And also, if we did decide to make a settlement payment, would that ensure further action would not be taken? Am just wondering very prematurely if/when I should expect anything.
